Located on the pacific beach of southern California, this new construction project represents a successful merger of contemporary interiors and architecture, and also communicates an attitude of visual lightness and simplicity. Careful and strategic design elements are used both in the furnishings and millwork to create an aesthetic of tranquility and calm. True to the client’s directive, the interiors are relaxed and bright. The furnishings, mainly slipcovered in washable fabric, allowed this to be used as a carefree summer vacation home.
