A new owner for an Arizona sonoran desert house by Lake-Flato Architects, provided a new opportunity to reenvison the interiors from their more original minimalist classic’s approach, to a more rich and textured palette of furniture, lighting and rugs. A tailored treatment for the furnishings, allow a more luxurious feel to the house, one that is grounded in natural materials of cottons, wools and natural woods. The interior embraces the client’s art collection, without competing with it. The completed project is at once a great piece of architecture by Lake-Flato Architects, with a new interiors’ treatment that allows the house a greater sense of luxury and softness.
