This project is situated into a rock outcropping overlooking the Sonoran Desert. The clients came to the idea of building with an affinity for mid-century design and a love of the Sonoran Desert. The architect, Charles Stinson designed the house to nestle into the rocky hillside along a desert mountain preserve. The house itself has echoes of mid-century design as does the interiors. The warm natural materials used in the house provide a wonderful backdrop for the owner’s art collection. The completed project suits the clients perfectly. They enjoy 180-degree views to distant mountain ranges and natural desert terrain.
